London is a beautiful city. Not only does this city have rich heritage, magnificent Victorian houses, palaces and diverse cultures but it also has a record number of parks and open spaces. But one the most unique of these gardens is on top of 20 Fenchurch Street or as Londoners call it “the walkie talkie building”. This sky garden provides amazing view of this wonderful city. Spanning three stories with 360 degree views of the city, this is one unique garden that should not be missed. On top of it, entrance to this garden is free! Yes, FREE! The garden itself is not large but there are three levels and this being a glass building, it is worth a visit just for the view alone. Although entrance is free, you need to book tickets early via http://skygarden.london/ as they sell out pretty quickly.
Things to keep in mind when visiting:
- Outside food and drink not allowed but there is a bar and two restaurants there
- Pushchairs are allowed but they don’t recommend it
- Using tripod is not allowed
- Entry is timed and valid on the day/time only for 1.5 hours
- There is a airport style security check on the ground floor
We had a great time there and got some lovely photos. I highly recommend visiting this garden to anyone living in London.
